At school our PBL and Language Arts class have teamed up to create a project titled 20% Time Project. The idea is that we spend 20% of our time on this to help the community in some way.
Bella S is my partner for this project. We have decided to have tumbling classes for kids ages 4-9. These tumbling classes are to help raise money for an Easter egg hunt. We thought having an Easter egg hunt for a needy family of five would be a good idea so they family got there first fun Easter experience since they don´t have any money. Also we wanted to give small presents to them so they have something to play with if they are bored and some food. . This is so important to us cause some children haven’t even got one thing for Easter from the bunny. Now, this family had there very first Easter egg hunt because of us. Our mentor is going to be Bellas mom. We chose her mom as our mentor because during the tumbling classes we will need someone to help supervise since we will be teaching the kids tricks. Also if one of the kids get hurt she will need to be there to care for them.
Whenever you get mad at your parents for not buying you something that you really want, keep in mind that some children don´t have food or water. We are so excited about our project because it feels really good to help them have their first Easter egg hunt.
